I'm a fuckin' Social Justice Power Ranger after this killer response to an asshole YouTuber praising Miley Cyrus for changing her image and Laci Green for "taking the red pill." (Guys... if one pill is red and the other is blue, taking the red pill means becoming a conservative. That's... rarely good. Conservatism is bunk.)
Here it is in its entirety (I would link you to the video, but, it's bigotry and nonsense and I don't need that garbage on my clean board):
RESPONSE COMMENT (what the hell, let's start a new trend by making comments that respond to videos one bit of jabber at a time?)
3 seconds:
I have no idea who you are but... a white woman whining about making videos on YouTube? Do you want us to think privilege doesn't exist? Or that it does? Because you're going about this the wrong way: I don't feel sorry for people who attention whore on YouTube, regardless of the tone of their videos or severity of the topic of discussion. Smart, well-informed people care about the issues, not how you feel about the videos you make. Don't waste our time.
15 seconds:
What do you know about culture? Or care? Again I don't know who you are but in just 15 short seconds, you have made yourself sound like a tart with some passive aggressive political darts you're itching to throw. (After finishing the video, I'm more convinced that you are not trying to depoliticize discussions- you're trying to filter out the politics you don't like. And worse still, filter out cultures you don't like. And when I say that, I'm not talking radicals. I think you want to filter out even positive race and sexuality that you don't like.)
26 seconds:
What do you care about Miley Cyrus's image? Are you a conservative? Wait, nobody cares. No, really. The ones who pretend to care only do it to fit in with "everyone" (bigots) on social media. Either way, Miley Cyrus was never the decider of what culture was. You'd have to be a fool to think otherwise. More disturbing is you forcing your way into Cyrus's love life. What are you, the one woman TMZ? Celebrity culture is not supposed to be a culture, that's like publishing videos on how much every famous person makes and claiming a female pop music artist is a worse human being than a politician using the American economy - our collective tax contributions - as their own personal piggy bank for nothing more than having short hair because it's considered masculine by idiots, or because she was sexually expressive or dressed provocatively which only prudes with control issues and deep psychological problems complain about anyway, or because she was a white person who mixed the style of rap / hip-hop into her music and you think white people are too good for that and need to keep their race pure. Is that the kind of person you are? Wouldn't surprise me.
40 seconds:
Big shock, a white person saying how great white is. You don't know (?) we have other words for what you were probably trying to say: Bright. Sunny. Warm. Friendly. Inviting. Healthy. Not you, you cut right to the racist quick.
47 seconds:
Electronic... Dance... Garbage... Wow, you really want to seal the doom of you burying your integrity like few people I've encountered on YouTube. Now you're spitting on historically gay forms of culture too. How many people can you hate in one video under the guise of making things better for whites? Even though things are pretty amazing for whites nearly ALL the time... I am white, I would know. This video is already hating the hell out of women by telling them how they can dress and act to please jerks like you, it's not different when you're a woman.
1m 15 seconds:
Miley Cyrus equating drugs with black culture where she took the influence of her 2013 music from would be racist, blaming black people for her own bad white woman behavior. She is refusing to take responsibility for making drug culture POP culture and you are saying this is a good thing. She did that, not black people. Or gay people. Though, yes, there is a big problem with drugs and alcohol abuse in the gay community. But you can't save the straights by demonizing a group of people for something that is a personal choice- like those cops who shoot black people. Are all whites racist for being the same race as a cop who shoots a black person? No. They're racists for defending the cop, who had racist motivation for the shooting when they have OTHER TRAINING to disarm the person they shot, instead of the person who was shot. Defending the cop is defending the cop's motivation. Which, even if it is fear, is racism. STOP blaming other groups of people for your own weaknesses, white fools!
1m 37 seconds:
Open dialogue? The dialogue WAS open before. Of course, this was a long time ago. The same thing that established stupid people's reading of racism-against-whites as guilting whites rather than asking for accountability and change before whites can be allies in the fight to end racism has effectively stifled that dialogue we're supposed to be having. Many years ago, black people and queer people and feminists were wide open to talking but after so long with no one listening, and everyone trying to reframe the discussion to be about them (like whites claiming they're victims of racism) (you poor little precious darlings, do you still have your mommy tuck you in at night and read you bedtime stories?) (I may BE white but I am nothing like you idiots- you practically reduce whites to infants with the way you claim we need to be coddled by the language of oppressed, marginalized minorities) and proving they couldn't be civil, YEAH. Okay. The dialogue closed. And it won't open again until the sad white babies grow up, start expressing themselves like mature adults, and have conversations with people showing them equal respect.
2m 4 seconds:
Trash you say? The only trash here is the point of view that we need to gentrify music. I mean MUSIC. Music hurts your cookie feelings, does it? How weak can a person be, you crumble at anything. That is pretty darn sad. But I will agree what Katy said about sexualization was wrong and hypocritical. White feminists and a TON of men get real confused when it comes to sexuality.
2m 47 seconds:
No real problem with most of this. Just to show that you CAN say things people disagree with in a respectful way and not be a stupid sexist racist idiot. Obviously, if something was never right for Miley, she shouldn't have done it. But she made a lot of MONEY on it and got a lot of attention, and you'll be damned if you're saying you don't know what it's like to sell out. Constant attention means you're going to get a lot of unwanted attention, you- the person who can't function if people are enjoying black and queer styles of music. Who portrays them as dark and sinful, like a storm cloud drowning out all the light.
3m 37 seconds:
I don't believe I have once called out Trump supporters for being racist / sexist / queer-phobic, etc. But it has never ceased being funny to me just how many of these people freak out when they discover that this is what people really think of them. 2 things are mainstream right now. 1 is that Trump has been normalized, we see him as a normal part of American life. We don't contest him as President. Which is a profoundly unfortunate thing- to know how little we ever cared about who became President. To know we don't think the President's position is that important. Which is how Trump became normalized. If we tolerate his bullshit, which we do, it's because we don't think he's that powerful. If only that meant he couldn't do any damage... he can. He has. He will continue doing so. And people will ignore it until it's too late, only the rich have health care, and the economy is absolutely tanked again.
And the other thing that's mainstream right now is that people are not changing their minds about the election. They never will. If you think Trump is great or proudly voted for him, YES, people will think you are a sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, fat-shaming, ageist, ableist loser asshole mess of a person. That is what you get. You have to own it, because it's not going anywhere. Too bad you kind of already do own it. You try to rebrand it but you don't care about the rights of the people- you only care about yourselves and being able to say bigoted things without being criticized for them. That's your only problem with the world. Compared to real problems - like health care, climate change, police brutality, pollution, corporate globalization, the prison industrial complex, America's failing public school system, manipulation of tax laws to ensure the 1% don't pay their share, attacks on voting rights in areas dominated by left-leaning voters, attacks on abortion rights, anti-trans bathroom legislation, dozens more - whining about what words you think you can't say on the internet is not a priority issue to well-informed people who actually care about real problems.
5m 24 seconds:
Wow... I completely agree. Hollywood is sucking, IS making the exact same movie over and over again and have been probably since the mid-1990's. Over 20 years ago. Originality would seem to be dead.
6m 4 seconds:
People aren't watching the Oscars because ticket sales are down? Interesting theory- in that it's just what you think, so, of course you're going to claim everyone else thinks what YOU think. Although I agree it's likely that people don't care what movies win awards for the reasons you've outlined. That people are similarly not caring about what wins because they didn't think much of the movies coming out now either. But it's anything but political. Ghostbusters having an all female cast is not political. It's a gimmick, it's a novelty. But those things have never been inherently political.
6m 21 seconds:
Annoying women? You mean, like you. Something that makes you think? That's a good one. Tell us another story.
6m 29 seconds:
A positive video? You spent half this thing trashing people, trashing politics (though Hollywood politics are corporate politics, so they're pretty empty and hypocritical by design), and insinuating that the culture of black and gay communities leads to some kind of white identity genocide or something. Who do you think you're fooling!! Sure, you have a lot of followers but so does every token shield shilling out for fleeting alt-left, alt-right popularity. (Mark my words: those people will turn on you faster than a thing that is really, really fast and turns.)
(But, they should. You, unlike Miley's new online profile, are not very bright.)
