TO BE CLEAR: I am super on the side of Allison Pregler, MarzGurl, Lindsay Ellis + the Change the Channel (hashtag) campaign/movement, Brad Jones is very problematic. Especially for supporting "Channel Awesome" over the creators they abused and neglected, but also for a fairly toxic attitude toward various people who are not cis-het white male privileged and the tone of his reviews are often ultra-aggressive and antagonistic. Not just because he shouts too much, which does not age well (by the way), also because his "I'm Pretending to Be a Snob, I Actually *Love* Exploitation Movies!" shtick is pandering, insultingly facetious, and again: doesn't age well. He might not have intended this but it's too late to scrub history or re-record his vocals (for example). Not to mention his absurd band of followers, though a lot of his friends seem a bit cool. Yet... time has passed and, so long as we're not defending his behavior. It's just hard to deny he has talent, knows a lot about movies, and his commentary is often thoughtful and valuable. Not essential but valuable. Let's at least present these here for consideration. (I wanted to include Troll 2 but it's only available on YouTube in a package with the rest of the Troll franchise. Which is not an actual franchise, it's as we all know pieced together by individual movies.) (Some of his videos are missing from YouTube, for some reason. Others are only available in brief cutdowns from YouTube's "League of Super Critics.")
